Blood purification
Blood purification is mainly done by dialysis, filtration or adsorption; it allows for treatment of a variety of pathologies such as renal failure, immune disorders, blood viscosity and inflammatory situations.

Extracorporeal blood purification can be performed in different ways, defining the treatment which shall allow restoring the balance of the targeted substances within the patient’s body.
Acute Kidney Injury
In cases of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), technics such as Hemofiltration or Hemodiafiltration are usually performed in the intensive care unit with SAMI for two main reasons. The first one is to protect and support the kidney function during this period and the second one is during the initial stages of kidney failure.
Chronic Kidney Disease
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), also called Chronic Kidney (CKI), a complete loss of kidney function over time. Different therapies such as Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) or HemoDialysis (HD) or HemoDiaFiltration (HDF), have to be carried out with DIMI.
